Our story
In late 2022, Mark and Steve, members of Anglesea Bowls Club in Victoria, were asked to improve how the club handled barefoot bowls. The club struggled with no-shows, overwhelmed volunteers, and a clunky booking process, especially during busy holidays.
After searching for solutions, they found nothing that fit the specific needs of a bowls club. Most booking systems lacked customization and weren't fit-for-purpose.
So, Mark and Steve partnered with Lightsail (web development company) and Lighthouse Finance Partners (virtual CFO service) to create Bowls Club HQ - a solution designed to revolutionise how bowls clubs manage their activities and thrive.
Our Mission
Our mission is to grow Lawn Bowling in Australia by providing affordable solutions for clubs of all sizes. These tools save time, increase revenue, and attract a new generation of bowlers.
We aim to lighten the load on staff and club volunteers, promoting sustainable practices that enhance the experience for both members and social bowlers.

With over 20 years as an operator and business owner in hospitality and entertainment, Steve knows how to keep things running smoothly. He’s all about making bowls clubs shine and turning them into the beating heart of the community – with a healthy dose of efficiency, of course.

Mark's got over 25 years of tech wizardry up his sleeve, but when he's not tinkering with ICT systems and infrastructure, you’ll find him on the greens. As the ICT director at his local club, he’s the go-to guy for all things tech and lawn bowls – a rare combo!

Kane’s the code whiz behind Bowls Club HQ, and he’s also the brain behind Lightsail, his software agency. When he’s not building next-gen tech solutions, he’s helping make lawn bowls clubs more efficient and connected to the community. Kane’s stoked to be part of a team transforming the future of bowls.

Ben’s a Chartered Accountant with a love for numbers and community. When he’s not balancing books or helping startups thrive, he’s brewing beer, hanging outdoors, or giving lawn bowls his best (average) shot. He’s all about keeping community vibes alive through Bowls Club HQ.
